Remote controlled (RC) planes are model planes suitable for a range of users from beginners to advanced flyers. With a wide range of choice available at R-C.UK from the basic fun toy planes to the more advanced multi channel electric planes we offer a range available to everyone.
Electric RC Planes are available with different numbers of channels; the most popular are 2 channels up to 6 channels.
- 2 channel – On these planes one channel controls the propeller, and the second channel controls the rudder at the back of the model which allows the RC Plane to turn left or right.
- 3 channel – These planes use the same 2 channels as mentioned above, with the third channel controlling the elevator, which makes the model go up and down.
- 4 channel – With the same functions as each channel above the forth channel controls the ailerons that are situated on the tips of the wings that allows the RC Plane to roll either way.
- Further channels can be set up and used for controlling a variety of different features; such as, navigation lights and landing gear control to name a few.
When flying electric RC Planes, as a general rule the bigger the plane the more space that is needed. Smaller models tend to be hand launched which allows for a smaller area used, whereas the larger models tend to use a runway therefore needing a larger flying area.
R-C.UK only stock electric RC Planes due to recent advances in technology, which mean they perform just as good if not better than nitro planes. Also electric models require much less maintenance and are far cleaner to run and store.
